Tuck Wilson
Folk Song & Songwriter Workshops
Performance-based workshops bring history and literature to life for your students. Tuck uses historically
significant folk songs, explaining the background and significance of each.
Each workshop may be followed by a student-participation session in which Tuck uses the songs from the
workshop to demonstrate the craft of songwriting, providing a day of learning that is truly memorable.
Current Workshops:
The songwriting workshop is an excellent program
for students of all ages working on writing skills,
especially poetry. Adding a melody improves
students' ability to hear the meter and enhances
their rhyming creativity. For younger students, Tuck
can act as facilitator while the class may write or
bring a song of their own, and Tuck will select
several folk or popular songs to use in a discussion
of approaches to songwriting, while using his
editing skills to demonstrate first-hand the craft of
songwriting.
Call or e-mail to schedule a workshop.
Tuck has been performing in coffeehouses, on college
campuses, and at concert halls and music clubs since he
was in high school.
